Lap Band Adjusting

When a patient needs to have the lap band adjusted, this simple procedure can be done with a doctor’s office visit where a saline solution is inserted into the lap band itself.

The lap band surgeon does this by easily inserting a saline-filled needle into the skin and then into the reservoir portion of the lap band.

If a person discovers that the lap band surgery was not for them over time, the lap band may be taken out, although doctors do not advise removing the band for any reason.
